Terms of service

Keepsake terms of service

Please read these terms before using the Keepsake service provided by Epigraf Pte. Ltd. (“Keepsake”, “we”, “us”).

Effective date: 9 August 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, inviting contributors, purchasing a Keepsake Project, or submitting a contribution through a response link, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of a family or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

Keepsake is made for adults preserving family history. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly let anyone under 18 use it.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a Project, or submit a contribution through a response link.
  • Do not invite anyone under 18 to contribute. If you receive a response link and are under 18, please do not use it.
  • Adults may include memories that describe or show family members of any age. That is content about a person, which section 5 governs, and is different from a person using the service.
  • If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account or submitted a contribution, we will remove it. Tell us at support@makekeepsake.com and we will act promptly.

3. Accounts & security

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or compromise security.

4. Project purchases & billing

  • A Keepsake Life Project is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. It includes ongoing access while the purchase remains active and one included printed copy, with shipping and applicable taxes charged when you order.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe or affiliated processors. We never store full payment card details.
  • Book printing fees are charged per order. Any shipping, customs, or taxes are your responsibility.
  • You may request a full refund of the Project purchase within 14 days, provided no print order has been placed. After refund, the Project is locked for a 30-day recovery window; only complete export, repurchase, and deliberate deletion remain available. Unless you repurchase within that window, the Project is deleted automatically. Deletion leaves printed QR URLs in place but makes their media playback unavailable.
  • Print-order charges are final once placed. If we cannot fulfil an order, we may issue a replacement or reverse the affected charge. Contact support for damaged, defective, or missing orders.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any refund, replacement, or other remedy required by applicable consumer law.

5. Family content and contributions

Who owns what

  • You keep ownership of the memories, recordings, photos, and stories you create. Contributors keep ownership of what they contribute.

The permission you give us

  • Whoever creates a memory grants Keepsake a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, transcribe, arrange, print, and deliver it for the Project it was submitted to and for the family members with access to that Project.
  • A contributor grants that same licence when they submit through a response link, and it covers only the Project that link belongs to.
  • We use family content for nothing else. We do not sell it, publish it, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models.

The permission you confirm you have

  • When you invite someone, you confirm you may share their name and contact details with us so we can deliver the invitation.
  • When you add content that shows, names, or describes another person, you confirm you have their permission or the authority to act for them.
  • Do not upload content that infringes someone’s rights, contains unlawful material, or exposes someone’s private life without their agreement.

Removing a contribution

  • A contributor may ask for their contribution to be removed at any time, either through the Project owner or by contacting us directly.
  • We can remove content from the service and stop the QR playback bound to it. We cannot change or recall books that have already been printed.

6. Printed books, QR codes, and permanence

  • A printed Keepsake book can include QR codes that play recordings from the Project. Anyone holding the book can scan a code and listen without an account or password. These pages are not indexed by search engines and cannot be found without the book, but they are not secret.
  • Those links are permanent by design, because a printed page has to keep working for as long as the book exists. Please keep that in mind before including a recording someone would not want played by anyone holding the book.
  • If a memory or a Project is deleted, the printed QR address keeps resolving but playback stops working. A printed book cannot be altered after it is made.
  • A Project owner may also create a share link for a single Story. Anyone with that link can read it until the owner turns the link off.

7. Service availability

We aim for uninterrupted access but may perform maintenance or suspend the service to protect security. Features may evolve; we will communicate material changes in advance.

8. Warranties & disclaimers

Keepsake is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that recordings or uploads will be error-free; please keep personal backups of critical memories.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including the Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keepsake’s total liability for claims arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may schedule account closure from Settings. A 30-day grace period lets you cancel the request or resolve an unfinished purchase, refund, dispute, or print order before closure completes. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. After closure we retain only the payment, tax, dispute, fulfilment, security, or other records required by law or needed to complete existing obligations.

11. General

  • If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is applied as closely as the law allows to its original intent.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, and your rights are unaffected.
  • Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes, or failures of telecommunications or printing partners.
  • Not enforcing a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later.
  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Keepsake for the service and replace any earlier understanding.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Singapore, subject to applicable consumer protection regulations. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

13. Changes

We will post updates to these terms with a revised effective date. Continued use of Keepsake after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
